What is your most unpopular movie related opinion?

I think superhero movies are highly overrated, as are sequels. Of course, I understand that it’s a matter of personal preference, but I wish international and indie movies stood more of a chance in the race to secure a comfortable budget, and then squeeze into cinema rooms.

Which sport would you like to see receive Olympic status?

Downhill mountain biking. It’s the most exhilarating, dangerous, and adrenaline-driven sport I have ever taken part in. Plus, it’s thrilling to watch from the sidelines.

Is there a book you’ve read recently that you’d like to recommend to someone? If so, what is it?

Yes, absolutely. I highly recommend Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Sheep? (1968). This is the book that Blade Runner (1982) was based on. If you enjoyed the film’s ambiance and faintly philosophical themes, you’ll love the book. It’s quite different from its adaptation. There is far more meaty substance, which comes down to the book’s reflection on not only what it means to be human, but what it means to live in separation from nature. An excellent and compelling story that should be revisited, especially nowadays.

What is a TV episode that you think serves as “filler”?

Any episode that had the sole function of being a look-back at the season’s best moments. This happened in Community (2009), Friends (1994), and many more. I’ve always felt unfairly cheated by them, especially in the days when you had to wait an entire week for a new episode of your favourite show.

How do you think your favorite character would spend their time during the Coronavirus quarantine?

Anne Shirley would be scribbling away under a swooshing tree, writing a novel for fellow women to read. I chose her because she was the first character I related to as a young girl, and for some reason nostalgia dominates our subconscious minds.

Has your favorite movie become a Broadway musical? If not, would you want this to happen?

Sky Blue (2003) has never become a Broadway musical and never will, but the image in my head is quite entertaining.

Do you cook? If so, what was the last meal you made?

Yes, I cook quite a lot. The last meal I made was pasta with vegetables and smoked tofu in a Mediterranean tomato sauce.

What is something you’re looking forward to in 2021?

Season 2 of The Witcher (2019)

Which song is the most recent one you’ve heard?

Always Find Me Here by Transit

Have you participated in blogathons? If so, which one has been your favorite?

No, not yet. Anything’s possible.

Is there a blogging goal or milestone you’ve reached? If so, what is it?

I think that just continuing to find the time to keep writing and posting feels like an achievement. It’s exciting every time.
